Church and state are two separate entities. The broadmass in between has two needs to satisfy. They are spiritual needs and secular needs. To satisfy the spiritual needs, the  church plays the role while the state plays the the secular role. This is a crear distinction.
The other distinction is the ultimate goals of the two institutions. The church preaches for life after death while the state stands for the people before death. Clergies hold office by appointment government offials hold office by election. This is a clear distinction of accountability.
The intervantion one on the other escalates the conflict than solution.
We beg the Respectful clergies of our church not to involve in such dirty politics.
Please live upto your role as Messengers of God!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the current problem that you are commenting about started becasue of the TPLF controlled government's blatant inteference in the religious affairs of Ethiopian Muslims and Orthodox Christians. Very clear interference that you missed …
The TPLF controlled government does not follow the constitution and will only have use for it when it needs some excuse to crush peaceful opposition.
      WakeUP! Selamawit!
