Editor-in-Chief of Al-Quds NL sent to Prison
Information that reached Negashi OJ indicated that Ato Ezedin Mohammed, editor-in-chief of the weekly Newsletter Al-Quds has been sentenced to a one year imprisonment. The reason for the sentence is an article that he published a year ago. The particular article was analysing the implication and impact of the draft regulation of the Ministry of Education. The regulation was seen by the Muslim Community as a measure intended to curb the rights of Muslims.
Insha Allah, Negashi OJ will soon bring more on the arrest of Ato Ezedin Mohammed.

Subhan’Allah they used a muslim judge to sentence Ato Ezedin Mohammed.
“Federal High Court Judge Mohammed Omar sentenced Editor Ezedin Mohamed of the Muslim-oriented newspaper Al-Quds to one year in prison. The precise charges were not immediately available but were related to a January 30, 2008, column that came in response to Zenawi’s interview with The Guardian of London that month, according to CPJ sources.”

We have to be proud of our Muslim judge, that he stands for justice, justice has no religion. Please don’t attributed the arrest of Ezadin to Religious issue. If I were in a shoes of the judge would sentenced him rigorously then this.
I leaf a lot of secretes because many people will see this site. I know why he was in conflict with majlis, I know his relation with some foreign countries in Addis. Let me ask u one question, have u ever seen a single criticism about majlis after Elias Redman removed from there? so does the Majlis changed its behavior or does majlis improved their performance. As to me majlis is as it was even deteriorated but quds kept quite. why?

Brother Mohammed, your argument lacks logic. What has al-qud´s relationship with the present Mejlis get to do with what happened in the so called “court”? The government used a Muslim judge to send a Muslim innocent man to jail simply shows the cynics and almost childish way the EPDRF reasons. I am sorry that this is kind of government that lead us to “greatness”. And you my brother, I bag you to think hard to understand the meaning of justice. AND FEAR ALLAH!
